Limitation of Liability

We provide our website and related services “as is” and without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that our website will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we will not be liable for any damages arising from the use of our website or related services.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Any legal action or proceeding
arising out of or relating to this Agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California.

Modification of Agreement

We reserve the right to modify this Agreement at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our website following any changes to this Agreement constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

Severability

The Mirror Membership Terms Of Use

Effective Date: April 8th, 2025.

These Membership Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern the membership program offered by The Mirror, a self-portrait studio based in Los Angeles (“The Mirror,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By enrolling in and continuing participation in a membership, you (“Member” or “you”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

1. Membership Structure

The Mirror offers a subscription-based membership program that provides Members with access to self-portrait sessions. Memberships are billed on a monthly basis and renew automatically unless canceled in accordance with Section 3 below.

2. Billing and automatic renewal

By enrolling in a membership, you authorize The Mirror to charge your designated payment method the applicable monthly fee, which shall be billed on the same calendar day each month. Membership fees are non-refundable except as required by law. It is your responsibility to ensure that payment information remains current and accurate.

3. Cancelation and Modification

You may cancel or pause your membership at any time by submitting a request via your online account or by contacting us at hello@mirrorphotostudio.com. In order to avoid being charged for the subsequent billing cycle, cancellation or pause requests must be submitted at least twenty-one (21) days prior to your next billing date. Modifications to membership tier or status will take effect in the next billing cycle unless otherwise communicated in writing.

4. Session credits and rollover

Each membership includes one (1) self-portrait session per billing cycle (“Member Session”) - 30 or 60 mins depends on the plan. Unused Member Sessions shall roll over and remain available for use so long as your membership remains active. 

5. Cancellations and missed appointments

Scheduled sessions may be canceled or rescheduled via The Mirror’s website.

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance will not result in forfeiture.
  • No-shows will result in forfeiture of the Member Session.

6. Modification of terms

We reserve the right to revise the membership benefits, structure, and pricing upon thirty (30) days’ written notice to active Members. Continued use of the membership following such notice shall constitute your acceptance of the revised terms.

7. Termination

The Mirror reserves the right to terminate or suspend any membership at its discretion for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms or any posted studio policies
  • Repeated late cancellations or no-shows
  • Misuse of studio property
  • Disruptive or inappropriate conduct toward staff or guests

Upon termination, any accrued but unused Member Sessions may be forfeited at The Mirror’s discretion.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Mirror’s total liability for any claim, loss, or damage arising in connection with your membership shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00). This limitation applies regardless of the form of action and even if The Mirror has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. General Terms

  • Membership does not guarantee appointment availability and all bookings are subject to availability.
  • The Mirror may temporarily close or alter operations due to holidays, maintenance, or unforeseen events.
  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California.
  • If any provision herein is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
